Sorry

Guys, I'm soooooooo sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. I've been really busy seeing as the wedding is like 18 days away. Things have been really crazy. Trojan women is going well and the Speech team is getting ready to plan Sweet Speeches which will be in early June. Not much blog-worthy has been going on however, I promise to post more as soon as I get the time.

And if any Madison kids are reading this post: Don't Stop Believing fully supports Hannah and Lorene for co-presidents. :)

Spring is Here

So I'm back!!

Anyone miss me? I surely missed blogging everyday. And I've got a lot to catch up on when it comes to reading my favorite blogs. Gosh, you go away for a week and miss so much...

In more fun news... SPRING IS HERE! Even here in the wet and rainy Portland Oregon, we've been getting some sun. I'm so excited to have a break from the rain even if it is a small break and probably won't last long.

My break was uneventful. I spent most of it writing a new story and texting my friends. One thing I learned over the week is that it may be time to cut ties to some people and relationships and just willingly let go before i let myself get hurt again... Even though I don't want to and I know it'll be hard, it'll be better for me in the long run.

Districts for Speech and Debate are on Saturday and I'm really nervous.  I'll be doing Poetry and DI which is Dramatic Interp. I hope I do well, I would love to be able to go to State.

Also auditions for the next play will be soon, We'll be doing The Trojan Women, which is a Greek tragedy. We'll also be doing this play outside in the courtyard... but knowing Portland... it'll probably be raining.

Anyway, only like 50 more days of school and they're going to be a busy 50-some-odd days. ugh!

Relationship Status

Should we let our relationship status define who we are? Or should we go on living like we always have just with someone else close by?

No, This is not me trying to be Carrie Bradshaw... (...or maybe it might be a little, but still...) but really, I've had this on my mind all night. Should we change who we are for the new person in our lives? In my last relationship, I changed everything about me for the guy, and it was hard to get me back. I left my friends, left my speech team and Theater, I couldn't believe myself for that, looking back now. But back then it made all the sense in the world, I was in love (or at least I thought I was...)

This time, It's going to be different. In my new relationship I'm going to hold onto who I actually am and not let myself get so carried away in love that I loose myself again. This guy is so sweet and carrying and he likes me for me. This is the start of something new, something good.

I want to thank all my lovely swap sponsors and for anyone else who would like to swap with me, it's free so don't hesitate to email me about it :)

Writers Block

Normally, I spend some time everynight deciding what to write on my blog the next morning. However, while watching Sex And The City part 2 last night and trying to work out a good prompt/idea, it accured to me... I have come down with the worst possible thing in the entire world for a writer... Writers Block!!!

i know, shocking. It scares me too!

Now, I have to admit, I do get the plague quite often, but normaly I am able to beat it. I think I'm in a writing funk... and ideas to help me out?

My first Link up!! :: What do I believe

Linking up wit Anna at A Sweet Southern Mess for her new Link-up Series :)

I believe it's important to love yourself. No matter who else does. You're the voice you should be listening to, don't let anyone else try to tell you otherwise. I believe everyone is put on this earth for a reason, and they all have a personal legend to live up to, (if you've read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho than you'll understand this). I believe in second chances, but I believe you can only give them so many times. I believe in love at first sight, but I also know that is not always the case, some times Love just comes softly. (Love Comes Softly by Jenette Oke). I believe in giving everyone a fair chance and not judging people by the way they look or who they hang out with, but by who they really are, the side of them they don't often let show. I believe in the beauty of nature, how taking a walk through a garden or laying in the woods can make you feel at peace. I believe Home is Where the Heart is.

what do you believe? link up and tell us:

Younger than most

As I explore more and more of the blogging world, I've come to find that I am younger than most other bloggers. Most of the blogs I follow are of people who are college age at least. Some of you who come on my blog may look at me as a child who doesn't know what she is doing. That may be so, but I have found that I am very mature for my age. So please, if I do something wrong or badly, I ask you to send me an email about it and try to help, rather than rant to me. I am a new blogger and writer and photographer, and I love doing this! So I have come to terms with my age and the fact that one day, I will be as old as my readers and as the people who's blogs I read, and by then, by reading their mistakes, it may help me to be more careful and thinks about things more than I would have other wise.

Laugh Every Day

For about a year (little less) I have been keeping a journal everyday. Just writing stupid things, how I feel, my dreams, what I want to do with my future, ect. It's been a really great way to get out my really personal feelings which I don't really want to blog about. I just felt like paying tribute to all the amazing people who keep a journal :)

**PS: I know journaling isn't Journalism, but i feel like tagging it as such.
