This was my second wedding shoot and it was for my cousin Marie and her new husband, Charlie. They had 3 kids together, she had one from a previous marriage and he had 3. (one of his sons is missing in the picture). It was a beautiful family wedding even though they kept saying it was a 'redneck wedding' which fit pretty well.
Congratulations!!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Has anyone seen this show? I used to be forced to watch it when I was nannying Charlee because she loved it, and that was understandable seeing as she was a 9 year old girl... But recently, a lot of teenage boys and girls have been getting into the show and even starting to become obsessive. Actual teenage boys walking the halls of my High School singing the songs from this show and talking about which pony is the best pony. Now, I'm not here to judge. People can do what they want with their free time. I'm just not sure I get it. I mean, I guess that it could be a good thing for some guys to get a little more sensitivity training from watching such a show religiously, but it just a little odd, don't you think? Anyone have any comments on this topic? I mean, I'm sure some of you that are mothers watch it with your children. What do you guys think of the show? Is this obsession a good thing or a bad thing?

Blogging Funk

This is an interesting phrase that I stole from Whitney at Everything Happens For A Reason. It reminded me of writers block, which I get all the time and especially now sense I am trying to write a Screen Play (Script) based on something else and I have to make sure what's said in the something else makes it into the script. It's demanding work but it's also very fun at the same time.

Anyway, back on topic. I saw on Whitney's blog that she was opening the floor for requests and questions. This seemed like a great ideas for me as well! If anyone has any ideas or questions or comments or anything involving me or my blog, please comment here or email me at alishastar1234@gmail.com, I am always looking for guest posts and would love to guest post on your blog as well. If you're part of a weekly challenge such as Tuesday Ten or Wordless Wednesday that you think I would enjoy, please link it to me. I'm trying to get out of my funk :)

Much Love to my blogging sisters (and brothers)

What A long Time It's Been

It's been a long time sense I've posted here and I apologize to all my readers, friends and followers for the absence. I've had a pretty busy couple of months filled with annoying drama that I really never wanted to get into in the first place and new discoveries. Summer's almost over and I'm about to start my Junior Year. I can still remember my Freshman year. It seems like it was just days -maybe weeks, ago. It's weird thinking I've know my best friend Lillee for only 2 years. But within these two years, we've gotten very close and I can't imagine my life without her. She's always been there for me and normally is the only one I can go to when I really need someone. I know she's got her opinion's about my things, and she voices them. Normally, she's always right and I -very stupidly- try to do things anyway even though they always end the way she says their going to and I would have been able to save myself a lot of pain if I had listened to her.

It's been a pretty intense summer. I found out that I was allergic to the Sun, so I'm stuck inside most of the time and whenever I go outside I have to wear a lot of sunscreen and wear cloths that cover all skin. This is a huge difference seeing as I used to wear mostly tank tops and dresses. I can still wear them, just under my sun cloths and when I'm inside a building away from the sun. I've also spent a lot of time on my photography this summer. I did a Senior Photo shoot for one of my best friends, James. And I've taken a lot of photos of my nieces and nephews when they're over or when I get to see them. Babies are my favorite topic.

Also, like most of the world, I've been sucked into the Olympics and nearly fallen in love with Ryan Lochte. He's adorable. My favorite events were Gymnastics and Diving just because they are both so amazing to watch. I wanted to watch Synchronized Swimming, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure why, it was just never on when I had the time to watch.

To close this post with letting everyone know I'm going to change the theme and background of this blog and going to re-start my swap sponsors. If you want to swap with me, please email me at alishastar1234@gmail.com with "Swap" in the Subject box.
